Firefox problem
I got a bit of a virus (Smitfraud, I think) on my laptop. I ran the fix and it seems to have sorted it out, except now Firefox won't start up. I've uninstalled and reinstalled and even uninstalled its personal settings, but all that happens when I try to open it is a bit of cursor action, then nothing.
It's the same whether I try to open from the shortcut on the desktop, the start menu or even in Windows explorer. I think I might be missing something obvious, but I can't see what.

Incidentally, Smitfraud is spyware and not a virus. If you are unable to eliminate Smifraud via Spybot S&D, Google "smitfraud", select the wikipedia page and click the link to "Smitfraudfix". This utility will do the job, but it's a last resort.
