looking for re assurance

i'm going to be circumcised on tuesday, its due to a condition whos name i can't remember but causes the skin to lose its elastiscity. i want to know what to expect, i know its a really trivial thing by comparison to other peoples experiences but i would greatly appreciate feedback.

v64paul - For medical reasons only, one of my nephews aged 10 & one of my brother-in-laws aged 45 had to have this done. They both recovered very quickly & felt the benefit from having it done. Hope that helps too.

I had it done at fourten, and I'm glad i did. I think circumsied penises look better, and are easier to maintain, and I think ladies who express a preference prefer them as well.

Dont worry! My husband had the surgery last March and went very well. It is a very common operation and my husband couldnt be any happier with the results. Surgery lasted for about 1 hour 15 minutes. He had the option of local or general anaesthetic and afterward woke up with no pain. Best advice is to keep taking the pain killers provided for the recommended length of time.

Contrary to popular joking by friends going to the toilet for the first time after the op was pain free. Movement was obviously restricted for about a fortnight afterwards. My husband does a non physical job and was back at work after about 10 days. A leaflet issued by the hospital said this varies between persons though. Realistically the chances are a small local infection will occur but this is normal and will pass given time. The stitches were dissolving and disappeared after about 3 weeks.

Dont worry everything will be fine.

I had it done when I was 5 because of a medical condition, and I have never had any complaints from the ladies!

I had it done when I was about 22 for the same reasons.  The best decision I ever made!

Me too aged 21 same reason, although mine had never retracted and i thought it was normal !.

As already said, you should be back in action in a fortnight, it is almost pain free and well worth it.

For the record, the condition is called 'Phimosis'
