only me again...

It's my birthday in a couple of weeks and my husband has booked me in for a full body massage on the evening of my birthday (Thursday 7th), but i intend to fake bake the night before (Wednesday) because we're going for dinner the day after my birthday (Friday). Will my tan go all weird with all the mad oils they use? I can move the appointment but I'd rather be pampered on the day and not look like a mud woman that night, so I just wondered what'd happen!

Any past experiences welcome! :)

hi emed, mmm couple of things to think about in this situation, i'm a beautician so i see situations like this all the time! you'll be fine to fake tan the night before but ensure you shower before you go for your massage to wash any residue away, whenever i have a massage i always feel pretty zonked afterwards so i would avoid going out and drinking too heavily on the night. Is it an aromatherapy massage?? if so always tell the therapist you are going out, therefore she/he will know not to use oils that can react with alcohol, cos some can, it can make you feel very drunk very quickly! i have done it myself and its not nice! other than that i think you will be fine to go with the routine you have planned, enjoy your massage and hope you get your bronzed glow.. another tip with fake tan is that it takes better on dirty skin, so never put it on straight from the shower! hope this is of some help. happy birthday for the 7th too!

thank you for your answer, very informative! thats really interesting about aromatherapy massages, i would've never thought! i always apply it straight from the shower (after drying off obviously), so i'll give that a try :)

thanks again xx
