An interesting Comparison.

On 11/10/05 i got my one and only question banned, it was an innocuous question but puerile none the less. The Ed at that time was on the ball and often removed stupid questions and even moved those that were in the wrong section.

Last week i was a complete prat and attempted to find out exactly how far i could push things now.

I even told the Ed that i was going to be a pain and how i was going to do it, i told the Ed to ban me if they had a problem with it.

Did i get banned? Did i get put in the dungeon? No.....

I got an email asking me if i still wanted to have my account closed.

This place is not dying, it's now dead. Do a "whois" check and you'll find that this place has been sold and the new owners don't care about it.

I've got an affinity with this place and it's users, so i'll hang around to laugh and cry with you all. But i'm not sure for how long?.............

The answer is simple Leg, just get the people who own this site to care about it. Get them to instigate the Site Rules or sell it to someone who will.

Unfortunately, it wasn't fun for the people who wanted to come on and enjoy a debate - whatever the subject. That's why many've left.

I'm sure 90% of the dungeon dwellers are due to this places overposting bot. Being a slow typer i never have suffered that.

I'll try and find my one question that was banned and you will soon understand how this place was once run.

If this place was ran like it used to be, then non of that would have happened Leg. Or if it was posted when the Ed wasn't around it would have been removed asap and that person was deleted.

Yes they could come back, but the ED would remove all ***** on site and many would just get sick of trying.

I was worse than that when I first came onto AB dabees - something which I publicly apologised for. I was also rather merry at the time, although it was no excuse for my rudeness.

I'm not getting at you, because you also owned up to what you did, and hopefully it'll get forgotten in time, but I still can't see why you had to bother, that's all. It didn't show up the flaws on the site, or get rid of Leggy - it just upset some users, who didn't understand what was happening.

I upset a few users for one night Ice, i make no apologises for that. I've admitted i did it to all and the Ed.

Has the stupid removal of threads via the "Null" value ceased? One night of upset is worth it in the long run to me.
