ok I have just got back from the doctors, he says the rash is milia (milk spots) and yes she does still have a few of those but he didn't really look at what I was showing him, baby developed a rash over a week ago on her forehead which didn't look serious and after a few days turned crusty and disapeared but since then the rash has come up in various places and is now on and behind her ears, this does not look like milk spots its red, raised and sometimes there's one or two zit type spots.
Any ideas what it could be or what to do about it? baby doesn't seem ill or bothered by this but looks a bit of a mess!
By the way, she's bottle fed has been for a month, I havent used anything on her face, or changed washing powders or anything like that in case that helps!

thanks for quick responses, the HV said it was probably a virus when she saw it a few days ago, the only reason I doubt the GP is I looked at a few pics of Milia which does look like the spots shes had from birth but not the ones she's developed more recently, they're much more red, and coming and going more quickly.
hi my neice was exactly the same she is 6mths now and its only just recently healed. its like an exzema rash and crusty but try rubbing some barrier cream into it. there is a proper cream that the dr should give you but i cant get hold of my sis to find out what its called. take baby into boots tho and ask pharmacist what cream or ointment they can give you. drs r rubbish!! my son had bronchilitis when he was 10wks as did his sister before him at 12 wks but they made out i hadnt a clue and said it was a cold!! his chest was rattlin so i told her i knew he was ill and went over her head and took him to hospital dr who recgonised it straight away and gave antibiotic. if ide not known n just took drs word he could have ended up in hospital very ill. always trust your instinct and if in doubt get a second opinion.!! p.s if i find out the name of cream ill let you no
rashes can be so many things.
if its dry and flaking then perhaps try and aqueous cream. My daughter has ecsema which is too dry for aqueous and yet doesnt require steriod cream so ive been prescribes zerobase and an emolient for the bath which does help a bit.
Speak to the pharmacist and see what they suggest.
Also the hot weather at moment isnt helping as its adding heat rash to the equation
