Unfotunatley where i work you come across every combi available on the market, and i mean every combi . I only comment on experience of working on them for the last 30yrs,and if i were putting a combi in my house there would be only 1 would put in and thats a valliant.
Everybodys got their own favorite, but unfortunatly i wouldn`t touch a british boiler. They arn`t in the same league as the valliant.
Perhaps you feel the same way about Baxi , thats why everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

hi minko
the number or heat output of the radiators is largely irrelevant when choosing the output of a combi as even the lowest powered boiler will run a heating system no problem.
the output of the boiler is important when you consider the hot water output that you want i.e. the higher the kw of the boiler the faster the supply of hot water you will get.
in a small 2 bedroom flat then yes i agree a 24kw boiler should be fine.
we service and repair every different type of boiler on the market, we see a lot of problems with baxis, in 1 week we had to repair 3 of them so were not overly happy with the quality of them.
my father who is also my boss was the main boiler expert at british gas for many years and he rates vaillants as the best boilers money can buy, and they don't have to be too expensive if you buy their lower spec model which they badge as the ecotec pro.
worcester bosch are also excellent boilers, in fact the boilers that british gas are currently installing are really worcester bosch with a british gas badge on them.;
hope that helps
