It definately was The Halifax.

In fact, David Baddiel went on about the advert as the man opened the fridge to get the milk out and smelt it. It didn't smell too good and then put it back in the fridge.

I always thought that the old newspaper seller wouldn't be too impressed when matey came past for a Sunday paper and handed him one of the crisp twenties he'd just got from the cash machine.
