As I was getting off the train yesterday, I heard a young girl (about 16, I guess) say, on her mobile phone: "And if he tries to put it in there again, I'll rip the bl00dy thing off." I had to laugh to myself, but then thought about WHAT she could have been talking about.

So, question: What is the funniest thing you have overheard?

Given that our building lifts run from the basement to the fifth floor, the maximum time anyone can be in one is around a minute, allowing for waiting time, so what was the conversation between the electrician and the cleaner that contined as they got out on the fourth floor with him saying to her -

"It's all down to the disolution of the monastaries ...."
i was walking through town and overheard two little old ladies chatting away

"Well we were walking down the pier and my leg just went...."

Her friend: "Went where?"

I actualy nearly stopped breathing from laughing - it just really tickled me!! For weeks after when i thought of it i was weak from laughter!
Following Princess Diana's death I overheard husband's Grandma say to her friend " I know it was a plot by MFI"

Presumably MFI didn't think she was doing enough for flat pack furniture!
