Heath Ledger death linked to New Batman film?
25 Answers
Just an observation - I went to see the new batman film last night, and although it was awesome (I would definately recommend!!) it was also fairly violent and evil. Heath Ledger died from an overdose from prescription drugs, which including sleeping tablets, Heath had been trouble sleeping for a year or so, which is when Batman was filmed. My point is surely someone cannot play a role like Joker and not be affected by it? The Joker is a pyscho evil person and surely Heath would've done research on pyschopath's. I am not blaming anyone in particular, Heath took the role, but does anyone else think there is a link?

No, from what I've heard, she actually barely realised the disturbing nature of her role, she was just a normal little girl and saw it as a game. That was in a documentary about it anyway. I think her suicide was to do with the stress of her popularity and the media attention that she'd received from a young age.

Well I've seen the film and frankly yes Kieth Ledger saves it.
Without him it would have been as dull as dishwater - was about 20 minutes too long anyway.
After you've seen one of the set action pieces well they're all a bit similar really arent they!
If I were being asked to make the next film I'd be very worried

I've also seen the film so I too can comment. His performance was good but what do you expect he was the main character.. But his character wasn't that psyco, infact he reminded me of Crusty the Clown (The Simpsons). Which isn't that far fetched considering the origins of this character was a Cartoon Strip..
