Conker oil to deter spiders
6 Answers
I've heard that conker oil can be used in the home to deter spiders. Is this an old wives' tale/superstition or is it real science?

I did, however, get 2 cats shortly after so not sure if the conker is working or if the cats are just eating the spiders befor3e i see them. Either way, i am much happier.
There is a spray [UK] called No More Spiders which is pure chestnut oil in a spray form.
Last year I caught and released loads of the critters, this year after spraying the non toxic chestnut juice [it is odourless] I have only seen 2 spiders indoors so it really works!
