Foot pump versus electric pump

Why is it recommended that you use a foot pump instead of an electric to inflate an airbed?

Because an air pump may inflate it too quickly. This could mean the bed becomes fully inflated quickly and if you don;t remove the hose in time it could explode. As with loads of things these days it's an insurance thing, its unlikely to happen but if they didn't put the warning on and you use an electic pump and it exploded you could (potentially) sue, with the warning they are (within reason) free of any responsibility.
