Since they are reluctant to withdraw our forces from Afghanistan and Iraq, the death rate and horrific injuries of our service personnel are increasing, and in light of this information, what measures should our goverment now be taking against these traitors?
Perhaps they could start by tightening up the free and easy route between the UK and Pakistan.

Our Govt finally have to face this truth which they have been in denial of so long.
Stop the migration from Pakistan to UK altogether would be a start.......though nothing makes up for the blood-shed of our troops lost.
I do hope the Pakistani elders take some responsibility for their off-spring and bang some sense into them.

This is nothing new. It's been going on for years.
This from a BBC report in 2001.
Omar Bakri Muhammad said hundreds of British Muslims had trained in military camps abroad and had moved on to areas of conflict.

They are traitors. Shoot them.
Fagidill: TradeWithMe has posted that same message on a great number of threads. Best ignore it.

"Shoot them!" is the cry. That is exactly what we have been trying to do to the Taleban fighters for 7 years. I am sure there have been British Taleban fatalities already in this war. Death does not seem to deter them.
Perhaps they could start by tightening up the free and easy route between the UK and Pakistan.
Perhaps not. There are several million law abiding British people with family in Pakistan. How would restricting their travel stop the youths answering the call of jihad? They are determined, they would get to Afghanistan by other means
The assumption in your question is that they are entering through Pakistan, but there is at least some attempt at border control between Afghanistan and Pakistan, unlike the free passage of holy fighters from the Iranian border with Afghanistan.
The British Jihadists are brainwashed, fanatical and secretive. It is very difficult to counter that fervor.
Unfortunately, there have been no high profile prosecutions of the British men captured in Afghanistan which might act as a deterrent, and make family members more vigilant of their young sons.
Ruhal Ahmed, one of the Tipton 3 has admitted being in Afghanistan, attending an Islamist training camp, and weapons training, but has not faced prosecution on his return.
Quietly forgetting about these indiscretions, and giving the message that their is no consequences for their actions, is the biggest failure.
