Hi, 2 days afo I sprinkled grass seeds over our lawn as it is looking in a bit of a state, if we mow the lawn today will it pick up the seeds.

Any advice please.

I expect it will pick up the seeds yes. Ideally you should overseed a lawn in autumn when you could wait until the new seed is established before giving it a light & higher mowing.

actually, thinking about it, it might not pick it all up - but it will disturb it & you shouldn't really be walking on it - so, if you really must mow see what happens & you could go over it again later in the year or even early next spring.

totally the wrong time of year to reseed or turf a lawn, you do it in either the spring or the autumn when the weather conditions are more suitable.

i re-seed and then do not mow for 3 weeks so the seed has had time to germinate and put its roots down
