hi do i have any rights to see my nephews?
the story is.......
my brother has 2 boys aged 1 and 3, him and his ex have just split again, she has said that himself and all the family can have nothing to do with the boys. they have had a rocky relationship from the start and we all knew it was never going to be a happy ending, y brother has finally walked away for the sake of the boys as all they done was argue. she has made my brother believe that he is a rubbish father and that the boys are better of without him. and he now thinks that walking away from then is in there best interest. although i dont agre with it at the moment his head and anger is all over the place and i think that he needs to sort himself out before fightin for his boys.
do i have any rights to see the boys or is there nothing i can do, i have tried talking to her but she wont even discuss it.

Hi
The similiar situation has happened in my family, my sister fell pregnant and then her boyfriend said he wanted nothing to do with the baby and he wouldnt let his family see the baby either. Recently my sister contacted his sister through Facebook. It seems that the dad has calmed down alot and even though he doesnt want to see his son, he is allowing his familly too. She is coming round to meet her nephew for the first time next week.

its important your brother makes efforts to be there for his children no matter what his problem. It may be his children will feel abandoned by his absence or in some way blame themselves. Equally they may worry about him . In the future their mum may use his absence against him in any custody access disputes. This is about the children and children need both parents. Perhaps you could support your brothre to visit the children
