well.. it was all to do with past relationships, experiences etc. all very silly and pointless lying to be honest

It would still depend on exactly what was done. Everyone has a past, if you are a jealous person, maybe they lied to prevent an argument?

If it is to do with the past relationships before you met, I wouldnt see a problem.

There were many things I never told my fella when we first met and kinda twisted the truth as I thought he would of run a mile! But after being with him a long time and knowing that to him the past doesnt matter, as that is exactly what it is, he now knows everything!

By the sounds of it the secret was either of lack of past experience or not mentioning the past experience?

Keeping things from someone intentionally isnt a good thing in any relationship

As above, would depend what the secret is and why it had not been revealed sooner.

Could be anything from sleeping with a best friend to same/other sex liasons to having children or just a few white lies about being far more or less inexperienced than is actually true.

Hard to say unless it's in context.

You are all presuming the secret was revealed by 'the other person'. Perhaps it was betty who told all, and the partner has gone flipsy?

Of course it is still random and generally depends on the secret and the circumstances. Too many variables to provide an informed response or any advice.
