is it really worth putting my money away or buying premium bonds? I see there are alot of prizes to be won! Has anyone won anything yet?

My wife just won �50!

 

Somebody with 'average luck' should return on average 3.2% pa which is not bad but you could certainly find a better rate. Depends on yuor outlook really and how much you need / want the interest.

 

Of course, you could always win the big one, and you don't lose your money as such as you could always sell the bonds.

i have the maximum holding and on average win 100 pounds a month...obviously the more bonds you have the better the chance because i have had 25 pounds worth for 31 years and not one a penny but it's a fun way to invest good luck
