The 10p tax rate was introduced with a great fanfare in 1999.

Recently Alistair (Dick Turpin) Darling said on TV that he could not undo what his predecessor (Our Gordon) had done, by hurting the lower paid by removing the 10p tax rate - but how come they can still find �millions to prop up the banks? - the institutions who probably make more money than anyone ?

Absolutely disgraceful.
