Anyone bought this set top box and can tell me if it performs as good as it looks. I can't return it to Argos as it's excluded from the 16 day moneyback guarantee, so I need to be sure it's a good buy! Cheers...

I can't help you on the model, but I had a Sony freeview set top box and that was ok. (I now have a freeview tv) What you need to know is whether you can receive Freeview in your area.  To find out go to the Freeviw website and enter your postcode.
Sorry, don't know about that model. We got a Goodmans GDB3 from Argos just before Christmas which is good. However, it is not compatable with top up tv, which is something you may want to consider.
I have bought lots of Philips stuff in the past and always found it be excellent.  You could always get from here for cheaper (with delivery) http://www.unbeatable.co.uk/CatalogueItem_24155.html  Then return it if you think it's not too good.  If you live near Crawley you can go pick it up and save the delivery money too.

I got a Goodmans GDB 3 and had loads of problems with it. I returned it and was given a replacement. It works perfect (touch wood).
