Does anyone know the name of a 'Docu.' about a village in China? It was shown some years ago and ran for some weeks.

Hi, govanmags. This was brilliant, and although I can find nothing on Google, I'm convinced it was called "Beyong the Clouds" (BBC2) - not to be confused with a movie of the same name.

I think that you are right about the name. It was such a great series , I wish they would repeat it....Have you ever seen so many cigarettes been smoked ?

Yes, I'm sure it was "Beyond the Clouds" - shown Feb./Marchish '94 I think.

I was a serious smoker myself when it was on, but have stopped now. Good grief, they didn't half puff away, didn't they. I'd better be careful if there's a repeat - one drag and I'll be at it again.

It was recently repeated on either BBC3 or BBC4, caught a little of it myself and my husband raved about how good it was as he had watched it last time round.
