Laying Laminate Floor

Has anyone else had problems with laminate flooring from Ikea? We've got some Tundra laminate and the chap who came to lay it the other day struggled to fit it together with gaps between planks. It's the click lock sort of flooring and should fit snuggley together. He tried everything and the floor being covered is level- any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.

i have used other types of click/loc laminate and there is a nack to it , it doesnt just pop together, it needs a sharp tap with a block to get it to locate properly.
