i have a old ipod which connects to the pc with a firewire is there anyway i can connect it to new pc with usb cable is there any cables or anything i need thanx in advance

I presume you have a 1st or 2nd Generation iPod which doesn't have the long docking port on the bottom.  It appears only 3G & 4G players have USB connectivity.

Why not just buy a firewire port card for your pc?

Just noticed one of the ads running down the right hand side (I normally ignore that kind of thing) & viewcon.biz has a card for �7.95 (dunno if inc. p&p)

thank u for your help do you know if you can buy  a adapter only need to use it once to take songs from old ipod thanxs again x
Perhaps you're better off finding someone with firewire on their PC & copy the download
