Then again have you ever tried vodka and doctor pepper now that is nice.

May I suggest amaretto and coke. Tastes remarkably like dr pepper. Yummy!

A typical pub Moscow Mule might just be ginger ale and vodka but a 'proper' Moscow Mule should be ginger beer (which, if it's a good brand, is far more 'gingery' than say Schweppe's Ginger Ale), vodka, lime juice (to bring out the sweetness) and angostura bitters (to accentuate the sharpness). Delicious!

Sorry knobby - I thought it was vodka with some type of lime or lemon in it. I can't stand vodka and lime. Hmm..think I'll try some tomorrow. it can go on the shopping list!

'Yes & no' with the lime juice. Most cocktail recipe books would include it. Your average guy behind the bar might not.

For the record, I don't particularly fancy a Moscow Mule just at the moment 'cos it wouldn't mix too well with these cans of Newcastle Brown ;-)

Never - lol - and Special brew tastes gross, to me - but I watched some guys at one of our parties trying to find the most potent mixture. Apparently, these hardened drinkers ALL felt very delicate the next day! Didn't take them long to get hammered either!
