Business prospecting websites?
4 Answers
Does anyone know of any good business prospecting websites? I'm aware of applegate, scoot, 118 and 192. I am also aware that Google Earth can be used. You know the sort of thing. Type of business? Location?
Many thanks for any replies

I'm not sure that too many people understood the question but obviously, you did.

No problem - assume you are doing some canvassing.
You could also try marketingfile.com
Although you have to pay for data, we found it more time effective as we could get the specific data that we wanted (eg hotels in a 20 mile radius). Obviously you can also buy just the data that you want (email address or postal address and name of owner).
Also, are you looking locally or nationally?
Doing a search for a business (eg car valeting norwich) brings this up: http://www.google.co.uk/search?client=firefox- a&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-GB%3Aofficial&channel=s &hl=en&q=car+valeting+norwich&meta=&btnG=Googl e+Search
and from there I can get:
http://www.city-visitor.com/index.html
http://www.upmystreet.com/UK/findmynearest/res ults/in/Norwich.html
http://www.norfolkbroads.com/
http://www.norwichonline.co.uk/

Thanks again for all the very useful info. Now having finished the shopping trip with my wife, every shopping centre in the locality,I can now concentrate on going through the very useful sites you kindly gave me. To answer your question, both my son and I are company reps (different industries and different companies) we both have an interest in new prospects and work together on finding them. My industry sounds similar to yours, I'm in table linen, bed linen and chefs wear to hotel and general catering. Our interest is local to the area worked, in both cases within the M25, London, Surrey and the like.
We would both like to thank you for the assistance with building data bases.
Cheers and we wish you good prospecting.
Kind regards
Harry and Dave
