When/what was the last time someone did something lovely for you?

I've been quite down just lately. Friend called tonight for a chat and he said I sounded so pi$$ed off, he has cancelled his night out with the lads and is driving all the way from North Lincolnshire to Suffolk to take me out and cheer me up. Bless. Makes you really appreciate good true friends when you need em. When was the last time someone restored your faith in human nature and did something to warm your heart?

Very recently, a complete stranger helped me when I was stranded in a foreign Country. He single handedly restored my faith in Human kind.

It's even better Lakitu when a complete stranger does something so nice. I remember going to Court with 2 heavy bags full of files (about 30 odd cases). I had to park miles from the court and could only manage to lift these bags about 6 yards before I had to rest. A lovely kind gentleman saw me, asked where I was going and said he worked just round the corner. He helped me carry these bags all the way to court. At lunchtime I nipped to M&S and bought a bottle of wine and left it at reception for him with a thank you note. I was extremely grateful and SO touched.

Hy barmaid my chance to appoclise to you for my behaviour last weekend ok I should not have posted that but doc spock led me on he said earlier that he wanted to take a video to show on here but he would have to tempt his mrs up into a tree first.

Now me being me I knew I had that vid somewhere on file and I could not resist the temptation to show it but hey there have been far more worse things on here.

And you are fairly new on here and have not seen the famous pic of me on here in my white shades have you.

Just ask anybody and that did not cause as much as an uproar as the vid did and I think that was even worse but most off them on here thought it was hilarious.

I'm not new knobby - I just don't post all that much on here. Been a member since about 2005 I think!!

Your apology is, of course, accepted. You seem to accept it was a bit daft. However, it did not go as far as some people suggest and I have made that clear in another thread. We all do stupid things from time to time, and I would just hope that other users accept it as a moment's stupidity, never to be repeated. Other than that, generally, when you are just having fun, you make me, and some others I know, laugh.

I am not going to be on tonight (for reasons, see above), but I would hope that people can treat this as a nice thread and act accordingly (Knobby, that was not aimed at you).

If we could all spend a moment to think before we hit out at others, whether on here or in real life, life and of course AB would be a much nicer place.
