Regulator stuck on gas bottle !

Anyone have any bright ideas how to get the regulator off the calor gas bottle. Only a month old and has decided not to work. It's a push on type onto a patio gas bottle.
Can't get it to switch on either as I would just use it til it ran out then swap it for a new one.

take it to your supplier of gas,almost certain its happened with other users.
