Indigestion and vomiting in my elderly cat

I posted this question on Animals and Nature without having seen the Pets section, so here it is again in case it isn't in the right place to be answered by the right people!

My 17 year old cat is Hyperthyroid and the medication (Vidalta) works well, but she has regular 'off days' on which she has chronic indigestion and sometimes vomits. As she has had Pancreatitis, we have been told to feed her grilled chicken, fish and turkey in addition to her special Vet's dried food. However, she doesn't seem to be chewing her food very well now. Could this be the problem, or is it something else? And what, if anything, can I do to help her?
Thanks

It might be a completely unrelated problem, perhaps her teeth are playing her up? Might be best to take her to the vets for a check-up. Hope she's OK.

Thanks Chessie

I did take her to the Vet soon after I posted my question. She has kidney failure and is undergoing tests in Veterinary Hospital. You were right to think it was something totally unrelated.
