we feed ours once a day with both pellets and flakes.
I feed mine every other day or so (if I remember), but there is loads of stuff in the pond for them to feed on at this time of year and they all seem to be doing quite well.

Cool, thanks.
As barmaid says once your pond is established there is no real need to feed if you dont want to, as there will be plenry of natural food in the water, the pellets or flakes only speeding growth and enhancing the colour. As to how often you feed them (if you want to) the advice I was given was that the fishes feeding habits were governed by the weather the warmer it was the more they fed and taking into account the number of fish that I should feed them little but often and never give them more food then they could eat in 5min as you dont want pellets left uneaten in the water. takes a bit of trial and error but you soon learn how much your fish eat
