6 points on licence
hi
i just came back from a court hearing, they said they will impose 6 points on my licence. i am still within the probationary period for driving because it has not been 2 years since i passed my practical test. this is what the magistrates said:
"we will impose 6 points and you will get a letter from DVLA stating what will happen to your licence. you may have to retake your test"
they took my licence, my question is, why are they not using assertive language- why did they say "you may have to retake" as opposed to "your licence is being revoked".
1)is there a chance i will get 6 points BUT my licence will not be revoked?
2)is this known as a "conviction" and does it have to be declared to the insurance company?
thanks
