x-box game too violent!

I bought my son Driver 3 for his birthday and I've just seen him playing it! I don't like it at all, so I've banned it and I'm getting him a new one instead. He is only eleven but is very good on these type of things so it can't be anything for little kids.

he likes to play quake and similar with his dad. Is there a game that he would enjoy that doesn't involve shooting and violence?

I don't mind aliens and space stuff because they're not real, but the driver one had innocent people running away in the street whilst he ran around with a gun!!!

Ok so he wasn't actually shooting them but it still looked horrible.

Try Halo 2. It is a shooting game, but at aliens! People are in it too, tho, but there are on 'yout' side. Also, most games are rated now like films. Id ask at the counter befor your buy 2b on the safe side. Stay away from Grand Theft Auto, tho!!!

Well done crisgal - it's nice to see a parent that doesn't just plonk their child down in front of a game and leave them there to get a quiet life.
I've no idea about games, but a round of applause for you on the parenting.
