Dog Poo
Our 13 week old puppy is coming along nicely with it's training apart from one thing.
We try to stop it going upstairs till fully trained but occasionaly it manages to get up. Everytime it runs back dow it Poo's on the first landing. We have sprayed the landing with a light disinfectant/water spray to discourage her but she persists almost everythime. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to stop her doing this. Hitting her is not an option. Nor is rubbing her nose in it.
Thanks in advance.

There is something in it that removes the smell, as far as a dog is concerned.
Other than that, have faith that maximum praising when she gets it right + ignoring when she gets it wrong will prevail in the end!
If this behaviour really does persist, despite biological detergent and the use of a stairgate, then feed her at that spot. Puts a new "name" to the area.
Like Englishbird, my cat used to poo in the same corner all the time (like her cat's, EB doesn't poo in the corner - I hope) and I kept covering it in newspaper so when he did poop I could pick it up easily (on the newspaper!) and plop in in his tray I would then carry him to his litter tray to make him see where it goes immediately after.
However, the best way I found was to carry him to his tray as soon as his had that "I need to go - where's the best place I can find?" look on his face as he searched earnestly for a little toilet-spot.
