Hi everyone.I have had a great birthday today despite it raining nearly all day.I have had a wonderful chinese meal at my bro's house this evening, with wine birthday cake and champagne to finish off.I am nearly beat now,but I think I've just got enough energy to celebrate with some music to finish off the rest of Saturday.
Right,everyone..yes I think I am still sober...have'nt had any side effects yet...ooo
As I share the same birthday with Madonna, who is older than me,let's start with a Holiday song.....

Ooo, I certainly bet that you do feel much younger inside Mrs Chappie. It's what's inside that counts in everyone.

After all,as we all get older,we should still love, and care for each other as well as our young ones.I have a lot of respect for my mum,and I do what I can to make her and my life a lot easier.I'm at the moment trying to do as much as I can in our back garden.
Fancy having a bevvy eh?Hmm,I've got some gin, tonic, brandy, whisky, schnapps and some lager handy.I don't touch whisky,my mum drinks that.
Question Author
Oops,I nearly missed you there esther.

Thanks for your kind thoughts.

:-))
Eeee Imo, chuck us a gin and tonic then ......... thanks buddy, that'll go down a treat!

BTW, I've said it before and I'll say it again. I think it's great that you look after your mum so well. She'll be so proud of you!

Hope you don't mind me asking ....... is your dad still around? I am guessing perhaps not. If you don't want to talk about it, that's fine, I understand.

Oh, and I'm sending you a great big cyber smackeroonie on the cheek for your birthday ...... Did you catch it? Smashing!!!
Question Author
Oooh that was some smackeroonie Mrs Chappie.

I won't wash my face until I wake up tomorrow now.
In fact,I don't think I will get up too early either.I will have a lie in until perhaps 10am or 10.15am.
It is my birthday weekend after all.

Sadly, my lovely dad passed away last year in September.
He was dying of gradual prostate cancer. He died in his sleep in his own bed.We were all heartbroken when he left us.He used to go to Sunday service in church every week with my mum.I went occasionally. He wasn't a true christian, but he did have faith in god.He was a lovely father to me.He was always there when I needed help in something or other....a tear is forming in my eye as I tap this message in................I was told by my mum that he had died in his sleep, and my mum was actually beside him when he passed away.We both hugged each other, and wept tears.
My older brother who lives up the road from us,has been
quite supportive since then. It's nice to have an older brother, especially when he is a GP.
I think I can manage to stay on AB for just a little while longer before I head for my bed.I've just wiped my teardrop away.
My birthday yesterday I share mine with Princess anne but celebrated tonight great evening too. Twinny
Hey Imo, I'm really sorry to read that. Bl00dy cancer, what a horrible, horrible disease.

You will be an enormous help to your mum, helping her to cope, and she to you. Don't think you will ever get over losing your dad, but time will help you to bear it.

I speak from experience, as both my mum and dad are no longer here.

Keep smiling buddy, and keep playing your music. If there is a heaven, your dad will be looking down on you, tapping his feet and watching you enjoying the time you have left on this earth.

Oh dear, I'm filling up myself now!
My birthday yesterday, I share it with Princess Anne had night out tonite great night too.Twinny
Question Author
Many, many thanks Mrs Chappie. You are very kind hearted.
In fact, thanks to all of you for replying to my thread tonight.
You all really have made my birthday worth the while.
I will most definitely be keeping playing the music.
No doubt about that!
Aww,twinny! You sound like a sweet lady with that username.I bet you look like a princess too.I could be your knight in shining armour if you want me to.
I will finish off with a big cyberspace hug to all of you.
((((((((((((((((((((((everyone))))))))))))))))))))))

Finally, before I head for bed in just a few mins,I will post this final song by a famous choir which I adore listening to.
You will all be really relaxed and calm after listening to it.
In fact,so relaxed you may fall asleep
Goodnight everyone xxxx G'night Mrs Chappie
