Arrrgh keep your lovely curls, I hated mine all my life now I appreciate them more, I couldnt stand to have the same style as everyone else out there.
Find a nice product to enhance your curls its much less work than straightening too.
My mum has thick curly hair and i straighten it for her using GHD wide plate straighteners.
I get her to wash it and i dry it using a hair dryer without the diffuser obviously, spraying in Nicky Clark heat protect and shine spray.
Obviously it doesn't go dead straight but it help..I then section starting from the nape of the neck working my way upwards, spraying the heat spray on each section before i straighten it.
The key is to do small sections and use a metal barrelled brush after you have ran the straighteners over the hair...
My mums takes approx Half and hour but i find her hair stays like it for a few days and doesn't even go greasy!
I hope this helps you
And the Nicky Clark spray is in a red bottle, we got ours from boots!
Hi Rossoneri
all my life I have had wavy hair - I could live with that but in the last few years I have gone mega curly, goodness knows why?????????? I use straighteners all the time. I have recently had 3 colours highlights put in and my hair is less curly - weird!!
Oh I agree with sara....be proud of what you have!!.....All the classic images of sexy and attractive women are of women with wavy or curly hair. It is much more voluptuous looking...asks to be touched....straight never does. It just looks hard. Besides....going against what you have may damage it.
K - if your highlights were put in using bleach, then not only does it strip your hair of its natural colour, but along with the straightening process, it can damage the structure a little, so maybe that's why the curls've gone a little straighter.
