Looks the business but they really need Richard Burton narrating it imho! ;o)
True, the man is a genius.
Saving Private Ryan, Minority Report, Schindlers List, All the Indiana Jones films, Jaws ... and ... um 1941 ... and errr, AI (anyone?!)
Just kidding .. the guy has made so many fantastic films he's alowed one or two stinkers - and War of the Worlds IS looking the business!!
Mind you, I'll forgive him anything just for the Cameo at the start of Goldmember! =o)
Heh Heh ... already have the CD my good friend! And well worth the money aswell. Not as much CGI but the Narration is velvet ... I'm expecting a similar ending for the film, but sometimes it's not about the destination as much as the journey, right? ;o)
Anyone got any thoughts on that? I mean, ID4 used a variation of the ending for their film ... ?

I'm vaguely interested in the CGI version, but wonder if it is too long after the "musical" came out to be a hit. (I have it on Vinyl!)
Mattk: You want this http://www.pendragonpictures.com/WOTWKEY.html . Actually, you probably don't - it looks like an amateur production, though the trailer is (unintentionally) hilarious.
I did read some where there was going to be a stage version of the musical!
That alone makes me drool...!
However, yes, there NEED's to be a film version
