Finished grid, got extra letters, but cannot figure out the 2 lines to highlight. Can anyone please help?.

Thanks for the reply. Have only just come back on and have had little time to look at the puzzle again. I have all the answers and unclued entries but still have not figured out the 15 cells which need highlighting.

Look at the bottom row for the author of THE across unclued, AND his namesake who wrote about the others!
