Upscaling freeview.
5 Answers
Hi Abers, I have a phillips 42" plasma tv, hd ready, with built in freeview. I have seen advertised a freeview upscaling unit by Goodmans. If I were to use one, would I see an improvement in picture quality? My DVD player channel (avi) shows an excellent picture but the freeview channels vary, BBC being the best. I cant find forums with info, so if anyone has bought one, perhaps they could let me know if it's worth the bother...Thanx

Don't think I'll bother.

Don't bother:
"If you've got yourself a High Definition TV, but without Freeview built-in, then the Goodmans GDB15HD is ideal for you."
You do have freeview built in, so it won't be any better.
There is a way of switching HD off in your settings, if you can be bothered to trawl through the manual or the onscreen menus.
