searching question.

I really, really like this site....I like the people who contribute, I like the format, I like the formality, the impersonality, I love the general feeling of altruism, and also the distain with which the ocassional twot is dispached. I am, therefore, loathed to complain, but ne'r-the-less,  the "search" facility is a bit p!sh.

It is not "a bit p!sh".  It is completely and utterly and totally "p!sh".  I tried to search for a specific two-word phrase, and was given a list of about 200 things, none of which had any similarity or connection with the words I had specified.  What we need is a proper search thingy which can find specific words or phrases, and we should be able to specify whether we want it to search questions, titles or answers.  I.e. a bit like google.

I was just about to post that the search facility is a bit pants, but found it had already been queried - cheers chillum!

My gripe is it seems to operate on the Boolean OR, and would probably be more effective if it was AND - i.e. fewer and more relevant search results. Just a thought... Any chanced of a more advanced search becoming available?

l also don't see why you can't search for your own name - if someone mentions you, it would be nice to know about it!
