I am trying to remember which series this story came from .

Suspecting an Alien attack World powers place about six individuals in command centres hidden in mile long shafts underneath the earth . As the war continues these centres are picked off until the American man and the Russian woman are left. Then she is picked off. The American man videos the President who sits in the Oval office saying " Its all over -we won ". The final shot is a pull back showing the oval office is a set and Washington is no more.
