Tracking questions/Rating enhancement
I'm in agreement with Nenrulez and also Chillum. I love this site - It's fantastic. I have some strange thoughts and there always seems to be someone out there to answer my oddest questions ... and similarly I have a wealth of usless trivia stored upstairs and it's nice to think it might be useful to someone (resolving pub arguments probably)
My only WANT is that it would be good to track questions - sometimes they disappear so fast down the pages. Within a week they are pages away! (I know it sounds lazy) If it were more like ebay .. the 'Watch this item in myebay' ... that would be fantastic. You could follow certain questions. The rating system could be similar to ebay aswell, where you could see past average ratings against people who answered your questions. I think it would tempt people to rate more often as this is a great function that seems underused as there is no end result if you rate or not!
Just a thought, but keep up the good work! This is one of my fave sites on the net!!!

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Tracking already is possible in a similar way. If you have contributed to or asked the question, it goes to your profile (see my profile at the top left there). If not, you can click "Subscribe to question" just below where the actual text of the question is. This then alerts you (by e-mail) if anyone adds anything to it. You can also look at the questions you've subscribed to in your profile.
Regarding the rating system... I would prefer it was done away with altogether. It has been debated for years and a lot of us wouldn't want to see it turn into some kind of competition (particularly as I don't think it would encourage people to rate answers any more than at present).
Cheers IndieSinger ... I never realied that functionality as it was questions I hadn't added to I wanted to watch. For example, there was a question about numbers above the Forth Road Bridge tolls. I had no idea, despite using the bridge a number of times and just wanted to see how it turned out.
As for the doing away with ratings - I'd be fine with that also. I guess I never thought people might see it as a competition, but it could hamper the informal nature of the site as is. (so do excuse if I don't rate your anwer then!)
Cheers! S
