why should this be a problem? maybe its natural for you. just because the rest of society like to operate at ridiculous early hours, doesnt mean tthat your body will just accept it! Who said we needed to be awake at day time? Why shouldnt we be more active at night time?
i know the feeling - i cant sleep at night, im too active, its natural for me! thats why i prefer night shifts. when i wake up early in the morning, i get sleepy by 1500, have a snooze till about 2000, and stay up all night if im not working. If im not working but still end up getting early for some reason, ill be awake all day but tierd, lathargic, sleepy and not really all there, when darkness comes, i feel wide awake!
Wierd huh? but remember - its your life. Why should you be made to feel you have a problem just because society says so?

i have this problem i only ged a good night sleep every third night and i make my self get up earl every day. i even take seeping aids but they dont allways work. i used to do night duty and the dr reckons alot o people on nites have same prob they have i heard brought out new tablet for ex night duty people that tells the brain to get into habbit of normal peoples sleeping habbiits, i would not recomend sleeping tab cos thy are very addictive. a dr stopped them on me for 3 moths a nd all i can say i had sleep derivation it was horrible i was so tired i was kike zombie tyey let me go back on them nut i have been addicte for over 18 trs now so wouldnt recoment them to anyone. anti histamines piriton is what tjey put in nite all and the ones they sell yo over the counter so you may as well buy yhe pirion only the ones that make you drowsy claratyn doesnt make you sleepy anyway goodluckm as it so depressin not sleeping i hope you sort sleep pattern outt bye tia.x
I had alot of trouble sleeping, still have issues, and dont have a full nights sleep, was on nights but came off them,as tiara said was feeling really bad, sick, headaches crabbit,i take valerian sometimes iot helps, they say take 3 but i have taken 5 at a time,as they are herbal, tried bananas and lettuce before bed, not together lol, will just have to accept that i will always have issues, my head still thinks that it is on nights, and when i feel really sleepy it fights to wake up again, and also didnt help that have a crappy neighbour who makes loads of noise and has two yappy little beasts, so much better on days!!!!
When you feel like you are ready for a sleep during the day do you let yourself sleep? If so you are less likely to sleep at night.
Try keeping yourself awake when you feel sleepy, until about 10pm, then go to bed. Get up at 7am whether you are ready to or not. A few days of this should recondition you to sleeping at usual times. And no afternoon naps!
