Hi guys. Just recieved our electricity and our bill has doubled from last time around. First six months it cost around 660 and this last six months it is now 1718.053 - they sometimes estimate usage but they have always over estimated so we never owe them anything, we have been with the company 7 years and our new price change (increase) contract hasnt come into effect yet. I can assure you we have not used anything more than we usually do and have no new appliances apart from a dehumidifier which according to Delonghi only cost 1.30 a day at the very most. We cant work out how we have 'used' this much electricity? Any suggestions?

Crikey, even 660 for 6 months is 110 per month which is way above what I pay! Do you live in a 10 bedroom mansion or something?

Is this new bill estimated or based on a meter reading? Can you ask them to check it?
I pay for 3 months in a 2up 2down semi 123.67 and I only just changed all my bulbs to the new low voltage ones 2mths ago to lower my `footprint` February -May was 283.65 a total of 407.32 for 6mths so check it out and ask what `readings` they are going by,
Check the reading on your meter and the estimate printed on your bill, if they are wildly different, call your supplier and tell them.
Sounds like you`re with npower! They`re not renowned for the accuracy of their bills.
