A question of fit?

I was headhunted by a company and offered an attractive salary and benefits to join them. I left behind a perfectly good job and went through a tough interview process (many stages, personlaity tests etc). Been in the role for three months. Out of the blue, my boss says 'I don't fit'. I am being offered my contractual notice to terminate employment. There has been little constructive feedback throughout. I'd rather just leave with the money now and be paid in lieu of notice to put the saga behind me. I don't have anything else lined up and in this climate it will take a long time to find a good role. If I stay on their payroll, I will have to resign if an interesting job does come up and I loose the money.

What is my best option and why?

Were you on a 3 month probationary period? Did they say you would be reviewed at the end of 3 months?

It sounds very strange that they have given you no feedback. Do you have a personnel department, where you can find out what has happened?
You may get better answers if you re-post this in Jobs....or even Body & Soul

Where we all come to b***h about CB...
You've been dumped because clearly, if you're too thick to work out which section to post in, then you're no use to man nor beast in the workforce, no matter how intensively you were evaluated:)

Seriously though, you might do better in the appropriate section.
