1 across, diligence:- I have put patience
5 across Estate Manager:- I put Ganger but that makes 7 down, rotate one end, G ? I ? L
for 115 down I put SWAN but 117 across football hero Stein is either Jock or Mark but neither will fit in if I put swan

I haven't got an answer to 1a either yet.

5a . I've put FACTOR, as that seems to be the usual answer for this clue and it ties in with the three down answers as well, Anaemia, twist and recorder.

115d, I haven't yet answered, as I have ?O?N as I think 117a can only be Jock!!
