I am haveing a terrible time with AOLover the last 9 weeks. The system keeps closing down. I have tried contacting them. The first time they told me to unplug the black cable from the BT modem - wait 40 secs and then replug and reconnect. that workr and then it started shutting down again. I tried emailing them but the instructions were indecipherable. I tried ringing them and the told me that a cease had been placed on my system by BT. BT say it is AOl that has put the cease on. The Aol said that tehy were updating the exchange and changin from BT to Aol, and this would be completed by 21 August and I would experience 20 mins where I couldn't access the internet - 20 Mins would be good! Does anyone know what is happening? Sorry for spelling mistakes I have to type quickly before it crashes again

I am a bit of a dunce where computers are concerned

A cease normally means that they are upgrading your speed .They did this to me and put me up to 2mb from 1mb.
Hopefully it should of settled down now.
If not they may have gone a little too fast for your line, hence why it's unstable.
