I've been using Firefox for at least 4 years and would not go back to IE.

thanks for the reply ethel.....think i may change over to firefox
cheers !!!!
Firefox is a clear winner over IE, it's faster more secure and lighter on your system resources.

I wouldn't go back to using IE either.
You might as well give it a go - it's free after all. :)
Its possible to have both installed on your system at the same time.
Firefox hands down
rov1200

I have both installed on mine but only ever use firefox.
Hi babybow, I have both installed too, but also only ever use Firefox, it's much quicker...................welsh
personally i prefer safari
I've been using IE since windows 95 - and wouldn't add anything to a system that's functioning ok. If you want the extras fine ... otherwise no
I've been using Firefox for a year and it is my preferred browser. However, functionality is reduced on a few sites that cater specifically for Microsoft software. For instance, on this site, the 'Recent Posts' pod does not refresh when you click the 'refresh' button - you have to refresh the whole page. Posting to MSN groups is also restricted where you do not have access to the toolbar or HTML editing (posting images it therefore not possible with Firefox).

PS
I have not yet upgraded to Firefox 3.0 so some of those comments may no longer apply.
If you do use Firefox, or Safari, Opera or any of the other browers available on your PC, do NOT try to uninstall IE.

It is an integral part of the Operating System and may cause problems.

Just don't bother using it.
Tried Firefox a couple of times but didn't find it added anything to my experience.

I've just upgraded my system so I might give the 64 Bit version a try if there is one to see if it outperforms IE...
And use the ad-blocker with Firefox- it's great when on here- no annoying ads on the side x
