Anyone still smoke?

Smoking's being seen as an anti social habit these days, a generation ago it was almost compulsory to smoke, now it's about 30% of the population who do.

So, are you a smoker? non smoker who's never smoked or a former smoker?

I stopped in 1999

Very much a dying habit.
i am an ex smoker. i gave up about 4 years ago and it doesn't bother me until......................

a driver wrote my van off a few weeks ago and smashed up 4 cars in the process........... i swear that if anyone around me smoked i would of had a fag!!!, so iguess when im stressed i could eaily smoke, but i wont.

those people who smoke when they like, IE, every now and again make me jealous!!!

i enjoyed smoking but it made me feel lowsy all the time!
ex smoker here, had a couple over the last year when stressed out to the max but thats it ( they wernt enjoyable rugeleyboy) , would never go back to it, especially not now its so restricted as to where you can light up.
Never a heavy smoker (max 12/15 a day, husband the same) but gave up about 26 years ago, thank goodness.

I smoke. Normally a pack of 20 will last me a week.
I never smoke during the day and certainly not indoors.
I`m intending to give up all together very soon.
I tried it - without inhaling - when i was thirteen, talked into it by my older sister. Mum found a pack in my trousers a couple of months later, bo'*l*king from hell, never touched one again.

In my teens (I am fifty-three) I was totally the odd one out as a non-smoker, i can't remember anyone who didn;t smoke except me, but it didn;t bother me either thant everyone did, or that I didn't.

Maybe it's an age thing, but now i can;t abide the smell of smoke anywhere near me, and i think it looks more than faintly ridiculous - especially as everyone imitates everyone else in the way they do it.

I am so so glad I never started, I am addictive by nature, and sympathiseIwith anyone who can't give up - but you have to admit, ot does look really stupid, especially since people have to crowd together outside in foul weather like leppers - which in a way, they are.
I stopped in 1988 (used to smoke 40 a day). Now, I can't abide even a whiff of other people's cigarette smoke.
