PC Recording

I want to start using my pc to record some home made music on. I don't really want anything fancy, I need it to be simple to use, something like a bog standard four track, or its computer equivalent.

Can anyone recommend anything? (Cheap as possible too!)

do a google on (as i don't recal the address and have lost the program myself) a program called Audacity it is freeware and will have all u need and more

I like FruityLoops. It costs a bit, but is really is very good.
