Apparently , there are nearly 7 million people who have never gone on holiday , outside of the UK .
Obviously , there will be various reasons , e,g cant afford it .
However many peoples reasons are , that they just dont want to holiday abroad .
If you or someone you know fall into this category - wouldn't you like to , for example -
- Visit the Grand Canyon , the pyramids , victoria falls , see animals in their natural habitat etc , just to mention a few examples ?

Don't forget millions of foreigners come to the UK every year to see the sights.
Only 26% of Americans have passports - that's an awful lot of Americans who have never been outside the US.
7 million people is roughly 14% of the UK population - so 86% have been abroad, compared to 74% of Americans who have never been abroad.
Some people can't get medical insurance, or they have illnesses which make it very, very expensive.
Some people are just happy to stay at home.

I think that the family point is very much valid. Many people just like spending their time with family. Now family here does not mean wife or husband (including partners) and children. Family in my mind is all your relatives or may be I think that way as I am Asian and family concept is different in Asian countries. When we were kids back in Pakistan we used to go to visit our relatives in different cities during summer school holidays.
Then lots of people (with children) can not afford to go on holidays regularly. Ok you can take a loan or credit cards etc, but many people do not want to do that and looking at the credit crunch (registered trade mark) we know why.

I have only ever taken one holiday in the UK. It cost us at least 5 times as much as our usual holidays in Greece. We went to Yorkshire. It was cold and windy all the time, and it rained almost every day. The accommodation was appalling, and it was virtually impossible to get a meal after 6 in the evening.
