I would never allow any artist's personal behaviour to influence my appreciation of their art. I still love Gary Glitter's music, regardless of what he has done as an individual.
I think it is important to separate the two - after all, Wagner would never be performed anywhere in the world if his fascist leanings were explored, but again, I see them as separate from his musical output.
Point of interst - Israel does not share my opinion - Wagner has not been performed there for years, and the last time someone tries, the performance was disrupted by a Holocaust survivor who jumped on the stage and tore of his shirt to show hjis tatttooed camp I.D.
What does anyone else thing in the artist v. individual debate?
