Hi im really stubbed with a certain question i've come across. i know its just simple maths but i haven't been at school for 2 years and im struggling to get back into the swing of things. i need to find out 8.2% of �60 without using a calculator. now i know how to work out 11.2% of something but for some reason my working for that isn't helping me..

If you put the following in the google search engine (the little box top right of your screen) you will get the answer:

60*8.2%

Don't forget your computer is a very powerful calculator.

Windows XP also has a calculator in 'accessories*

You don't need a computer, WroteForLuck.

Just multiply by 8.2 and divide by 100.

thanks so much everyone for replying. its really simple but i was complicating things a lot. my maths teacher also showed me a different way which he said was easiest for him but to me seems so much more complex. i feel daft now but im glad i asked!

just replying to Bednobs. i was looking for working but i still was able to work it out by just multiplying then dividing like you said. also im a HER lol
