What's your oldest item of clothing that is still (albeit occasionally) worn?

I have an indian hand printed skirt that I bought around 24 years ago, its older than the receptionist at work, still fits and looks fabby lol

Seriously though, I have a rugby top bought 18 years ago, which still looks like new even though I have worn it many times.

I have a pair of lucky star wars boxer shorts from 1977/78


And yes they are a bit tight round the knacker sack.

but i only wera them on special ocassions.

Well they were actually too big for me when i got them ,you know how they mark down the film promotional stuff after a while.
Well my mu got me them for 50p.
They said medium on the box but when she got them home and took them out of the box they were actually a extra large.


She said id grow into them , so i tried my hardest.

a long leather jacket that i wear every winter, i've had it for 6 years

I still have my late mother's dressing gown (silk) from her wedding night... which I remodelled into a gorgeous dressing gown to fit me (slightly larger *ahem* lol)... It had been a full length, fabby silk (wonderful quality) tiny waisted New Look model.... I now have a very special dressing gown that has a lot of memories for me in the most wonderful fabric (I'd not be able to purchase this quality today !). It has been included in my Will as one of the items to be passed on to my niece (who thinks it is gorgeous too, so I am really happy to have played a small part in this happiness... lol)

a gorgeous evening gown that my MOTHER bought in 1971.
That makes it 37 years old.

I've always loved it and she gave it to me. I will be wearing it to a do in September.

lol Evedawn... my mother's dressing gown was made in 1949.... as it is still around today, it just shows the quality !
